JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 51 University of North Florida men's tennis concludes a six-match homestand on Sunday against East Carolina. Match time is set for 11 a.m., at the UNF Tennis Complex.
"We have another great challenge on our hands tomorrow," said head coach
Mark Finnegan. "East Carolina is on a nice seven-match winning streak. We have to play our game to be successful."
UNF has won its last six matches and comes off a 4-1 victory over No. 57 South Alabama on Wednesday. Five of those six wins have been during the Ospreys' homestand.
The Ospreys have shown consistent play in both doubles and singles and own winning records on all three doubles courts and all six singles courts. Among the notable performances has been
Zach Goldberg, who is on a six-match winning streak and had the matching-winning point against South Alabama.
East Carolina enters Sunday with a 9-6 overall record and returns to the road for the first time in nearly a month. The Pirates wrapped up an eight-match homestand on Wednesday with a 4-0 shutout of Temple. East Carolina went 7-1 during its home stretch. However, the road has not been favorable to East Carolina, who is 1-3 in road matches this spring.
Admission is free to all UNF home tennis matches.
