NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Defending Atlantic Sun Regular Season Champions University of North Florida women's tennis swept Lipscomb 4-0 on Thursday evening at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center to begin conference play.

UNF took a 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point.
Esther Zuniga and
Taylor Hollander teamed up for an 8-4 win over Melissa Kromer and Laura Kent on the No. 1 court.
Rebeca Pereira and
Quetzali Vazquez added an 8-2 triumph over Jenny Borck and Deahna Welcher at No. 2 doubles. Lipscomb captured the match at No. 3 doubles with Hannah Gamage and Danielle Kinnen defeated
Luise Intert and
Michelle Valdez 8-0.
In singles, Valdez cruised past Welcher 6-3, 6-2 on the No. 2 court. Vazquez claimed a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Kromer at No. 4 singles, while Intert took a 6-3, 7-6 (5) win against Kinnen at No. 6 singles.
UNF returns to action at Northern Kentucky on Friday. Match time is set for 12:30 p.m.
