@OspreyVB Closes Non-Conference Slate Wednesday Against FAMU

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida volleyball team is set to close out the non-conference portion of their 2015 schedule against in-state foe Florida A&M, Wednesday at 6 p.m. in UNF Arena.
 
"We are excited to be playing at home before hitting the road for a couple weekends," said head coach Steve Loeswick. "Florida A&M is always a good match for us and we expect another good challenge on Wednesday night. We have always enjoy playing at home and look forward to another good crowd."
 
The Ospreys enter the match-up at 16-8 overall including a perfect 3-0 record at home against non-conference foes. UNF is looking to snap a current three-match losing skid following a hardfought 3-2 loss last week against rival Jacksonville.
 
Tickets are $5 for adult; $3 for Youth under 17, Senior Citizens 55+, Military and UNF Faculty and Staff with proper ID. Students with a valid Osprey1 Card and Children 2-and-under are free. Tickets can be purchased online atwww.UNFOspreys.com, by phone at (904) 620-BIRD (2473) or at UNF Arena.

Sunshine State Battles: The FAMU match on Wednesday will mark the 10th time this season that North Florida will face a team from the state of Florida... UNF is 6-3 versus in-state foes including a 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 31-29) win over Florida A&M earlier this season in Tallahassee (Sept. 15).
 
Scouting FAMU: Comes into the meeting at 6-17 on the year but having won two in a row and six of their last 10 matches... Pamela Soriano leads the Rattlers offensively averaging 2.94 kills per set, while Valentina Carrasco tops the FAMU backline with 3.59 digs per set.
