The Ospreys host FGCU on Friday at 7 p.m., and then Stetson on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Steve Loeswick. "We know it is going to be a tough weekend, but after a good week of practice, we are excited to get back on the court and compete."
Not only does the weekend finish up the first half of conference play, but it also concludes a four-match homestand for the Ospreys. UNF went 1-1 last weekend, suffering a 3-0 loss to Atlantic Sun leader Lipscomb, but rebounding for a 3-0 sweep of NJIT. UNF enters the weekend with a 3-2 mark in conference play and tied for third in the A-Sun standings.
Friday night's match is Student Appreciation Night with the first 100 UNF students getting a voucher for a free hot dog or free popcorn. With Saturday evening's match, fans can use their tickets from the volleyball match for admission into the UNF-Stetson men's soccer game that is later that night at 7 p.m. Additionally, it will be 2-for-1 beer at Saturday's match for those that are aged 21+.
Tickets are $5 for adult; $3 for Youth under 17, Senior Citizens 55+, Military and UNF Faculty and Staff with proper ID. Students with a valid Osprey1 Card and Children 2-and-under are free. Tickets can be purchased online at

Trio of Hitters: UNF is one of two schools to have three of the top 10 players in hitting percentage in the Atlantic Sun.
Carina Hoff is hitting .337 and ranks fourth.

First Half Finish: Under head coach
Steve Loeswick, UNF is 4-2 when finishing the first half of Atlantic Sun competition. Last season, UNF trumped both Kennesaw State (3-1 on Oct. 17) and USC Upstate (3-2 on Oct. 18) to conclude the first part of the conference season.
Scouting FGCU: Has won its last four matches since suffering its only Atlantic Sun loss to Lipscomb... comes off a 3-0 sweep of Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday in Fort Myers... has a strength in reception and blocking... does not make many receiving errors on the serve, only tallying 62 reception errors for the entire season thus far... leads the Atlantic Sun with 168.5 blocks, averaging 2.2 blocks per set... Amanda Carroll (3.35 kills per set) and Eleonora Kazarian (3.10 kills per set) lead the Eagle offense... Kazarian is also averaging a team-best 0.95 blocks per set... Maggie Rick puts up 9.95 assists per set and Vanessa Benke is making 4.21 digs per set.

Scouting Stetson: Snapped a four-match skid with a pair of 3-1 victories over USC Upstate and Kennesaw State last weekend... begins the weekend at Jacksonville on Friday night... Kayla Weller became Stetson's all-time leader in assists last Friday against USC Upstate, breaking Tanya Roe's mark of 3,332 set in 1996. Weller enters the weekend with 3,387 total assists... Haley Tippet paces the Hatters with 2.81 kills per set and has a team-best 181 digs.
UNF-Stetson Series: UNF leads the all-time series 16-5.
