JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—No. 68-ranked and second-seeded University of North Florida men's tennis defeated Florida Gulf Coast, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in the Atlantic Sun Championship semifinals at the UNF Tennis Complex.
"It's hard to say just how great of a team win this was because of so many great individual performances today," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "All of the guys put their heart and soul into this match and the crowd was so amazing. I was a great day to be an Osprey. I was so happy for Zach to clinch the match for us cramping and facing adversity. He should be so proud of himself. He truly deserved this victory. CJ and FGCU are a class act. We are going to rest up and enjoy another great battle with ETSU tomorrow. Hopefully our fans will come out and support the team again by packing the nest."
