MACON, Ga. – A 7-0 sweep of Mercer capped a perfect Atlantic Sun season for the University of North Florida women's tennis on Saturday. UNF dominated on all three doubles courts and six singles courts en route to the Atlantic Sun Regular Season title.

Aline Berkenbrock and
Lorena Aviles took an 8-5 win over Lucie Payrat and Jennifer Lada on the No. 1 court.
Simona Weymar and
Rebeca Pereira blanked Melanie Schumilas and Amanda Bertani at No. 2 doubles.
Danielle Day and
Melanie Aguirre powered past Katherine Cooper and Sarah Hanna at No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
Four of UNF's singles wins were by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Berkenbrock shutout Lada at No. 1 singles, while Aguirre blanked Schumilas at No. 4.
Marina Cunningham won 6-0, 6-0 over Hanna at No. 5, and Pereira took a 6-0, 6-0 No. 6 singles match against Cooper.
At No. 2 singles, Aviles defeated Payrat 6-3, 6-2. Weymar had a 3-0, ret. win at No. 4 singles against Bartoni.
Postseason play begins for the Ospreys next Saturday at the 2012 Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis Championships. UNF is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and received a first-round bye. The Ospreys opened tournament play in Saturday's semifinals against the winner of No. 4 Stetson-No. 5 Kennesaw State at 1:30 p.m.
