JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's tennis team looked impressive for a second consecutive day as it knocked off Atlantic Sun Conference foe Belmont 6-1 at the UNF Tennis Complex.
The Lady Ospreys (4-5, 2-0 A-Sun) stumbled at No. 1 doubles and lost at No. 3 singles when UNF's
Ina Durcakova retired in the second set, but they were in control elsewhere.
Natalia Sanchez won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, while
Vanessa Sanchez won at No. 2,
Maria Melihova at No. 4,
Victoria Krook at No. 5 and
Carolina Melo at No. 6.
The Lady Ospreys will cap a busy weekend schedule with a match against Gardner-Webb on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the UNF Tennis Complex.
