Ospreys fall to Belmont 2-0 in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The University of North Florida men's soccer team opened its swing through the Music City on a sour note Friday night, dropping a 2-0 decision to Belmont in Atlantic Sun Conference play.

Belmont's Mete Ozkan scored both goals for the Bruins (6-7-2, 3-4-1 A-Sun), striking in the 13th minute to give the Bruins the early advantage. He connected again in the second half when he took a pass from Navarda Heath and delivered the final strike from the left side of the penalty box.

The Bruins held the Ospreys (6-8-0, 4-4-0 A-Sun) in check, holding a 14-5 advantage in shots including a 9-2 advantage in the second half.

Andrew Calise went the distance in goal for the Ospreys, collecting five saves. Ron Gravely tallied three saves for the Bruins.

UNF caps its trip to Nashville on Sunday with a 2 p.m. game at Lipscomb.
