CONWAY, S.C. - The University of North Florida volleyball team's hot streak came to a chilly end on Friday night at the Coastal Carolina Classic when A-Sun foe East Tennessee State took advantage of a slew Lady Osprey errors to post a 3-0 win (30-27, 30-17, 30- 22).
UNF (7-5) had won six of seven matches before the loss and had been strong offensively during that stretch after struggling through its first four matches. On Friday night, UNF's early-season struggles resurfaced.
The Lady Ospreys hit just .035 and committed 28 attack errors, and added 10 service errors as well, in falling to ETSU (8-4).
Amy Stroder was the only UNF players with double figures in kills, finishing with 15. Emily Kohler added nine kills, the only other UNF player with more than three in the match.
ETSU hit .194 and got 10 kills from Jennifer Sartor.
UNF will play Xavier at 10 a.m. on Saturday and host Coastal Carolina at 7:30 p.m. to wrap up tournament play.
