BOCA RATON, Fla. - The University of North Florida men's tennis team swept through south Florida on Saturday and continued its impressive play of late by defeating Atlantic Sun Conference foe Florida Atlantic 5-1.

The Ospreys have now won five of their last six matches overall.

UNF (6-3, 3-0 A-Sun) split the doubles matches but won the doubles point by default after FAU failed to field a No. 3 tandem. In singles, the Ospreys got wins from Matias Sigal (No. 1), German Escallon (No. 3), Elad Gabay (No. 4) and Glen Marshall (No. 5) to capture the victory.

Eduardo Pereira - who has played the No. 1 singles position in every match this season for UNF prior to Saturday - did not play against the Owls (2-7, 1-2 A-Sun).

The Ospreys return to action on Sunday when they travel to Miami to take on Division II Barry - which is ranked fifth nationally.
