JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 8, 2005) - Coming off a 7- 2 loss to the No. 1 ranked West Florida team, the University of North Florida men's tennis squad rebounded nicely, defeating Eastern Kentucky 9-0 Tuesday at UNF.
UNF didn't seem to be affected buy the strong winds that swept thru the North Florida campus, as they were able to win all their singles matches in straight sets.
"It was very windy, which helped us playing against a team coming from indoors," said UNF head coach Tom Schrader. "We went out and played a very strong match against Eastern Kentucky."
The win improves the No. 3 ranked Ospreys to 8-3 overall, as the loss drops the Colonels to 3- 7.
North Florida will host Ferris State on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
