JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Dawn Soule's goal off of a penalty kick in the 22nd minute proved to be all that USC Upstate needed, as they defeated The University of North Florida 1-0 Saturday at UNF Soccer Field.
The loss drops the Lady Ospreys to 2-2 in Peach Belt Conference play, and 7-2-2 overall. With its win, USC Upstate remains undefeated in conference play (3-0-1) and improves to 7-1-1 overall.
North Florida out-shot the Lady Spartans 13-5, as UNF goalie Heather Gosselin recorded three saves.
The Lady Ospreys play its next two games on the road at Francis Marion (Oct. 13) and at Kennesaw State (Oct. 17). They return home Oct. 19 to host Covenant College at 2 p.m.
