Box Score

BUIES CREEK, N.C.  - North Florida's Emily Kohler proved to be a one- player wrecking crew for the Lady Ospreys on Saturday night against Atlantic Sun Conference foe Campbell, hitting .524 with 13 kills, eight digs and seven block assists to lead UNF to a 3-0 win (30-19, 30-15, 30-25).

UNF (13-8, 5-1 A-Sun) finished with 14 team blocks, including seven by junior Magen Wood, and hit .284 for the match in winning their fifth straight overall and for 10th time in their last 12 matches.

"Emily and Allison (O'Neill) played really well tonight," UNF head coach Bryan Bunn said. "We had 14 blocks, which says a lot about how we played at the net. It was a good win and keeps us in position as we head down the stretch."

With the victory, UNF stays tied for third place in the A-Sun standings behind Jacksonville and Florida Atlantic. The Lady Ospreys are scheduled to play FAU on Thursday at UNF Arena.

Allison O'Neill finished with nine kills and hit .571 for UNF, while Wood added nine kills and Jenna Thomas 19 digs. Freshman setter Heather Kendrick tallied 39 assists for the Lady Ospreys.

Campbell (8-18, 1-7 A-Sun) hit just .037 with 26 errors. Rachel Templin and Tabitha Turner tied for the Camels' team lead with eight kills apiece.

In game one, UNF never trailed, getting four kills and three blocks from Wood to pull away early and win 30-19. In game two, the Lady Ospreys snapped a 6- 6 tie and never looked back, scoring the final nine points in a 30-15 victory. Game three saw UNF deliver more of the same, erasing an early deficit and pulling away.

UNF returns home for a four-match homestand over the next two weeks, when the Lady Ospreys will wrap up conference play and hope to play into contention for the A-Sun regular-season title. They will face Flagler in a non-conference match on Tuesday, FAU on Thursday and Belmont and Lipscomb on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5, respectively.
