Ken Taylor

Ken Taylor attended the University of Richmond on a football scholarship and also was a sprinter on the track team. He began his coaching career at Orange Park High School where he produced two regional championships, four district championships and seven high school All-American's in track and field. For eight consecutive years his vaulters placed in the top four in the state of Florida with two state champions and three high school All-Americans in the pole vault as well as the state of Florida's first 16 foot vaulter.

In his five years at UNF he has produced 9 Atlantic Sun Conference Championships in men's and women's pole vault,  18 All Conference performers in the pole vault, the Atlantic Sun Indoor and Outdoor Conference record in the women's pole vault and the Atlantic Sun Conference record holder in the Men's outdoor pole vault.  He has also had 3 NCAA Division I Regional qualifiers in the pole vault.

Taylor has most recently served as an assistant track coach at Nease High School for four years and head men’s and women’s track coach with over 150 athletes competing in the program. During his tenure, 14 of the Nease track and field school records were broken.

Coach Taylor is an active participant in Master's Track and Field and has won two national titles, one runner up and in 2011 was seventh in the world in his age group at the 2011 World Master's Championship.  He is a regular speaker at high school clinics.
