Ana Roman Dominguez

Ana Roman-Dominguez joined the North Florida Women’s Tennis coaching staff in June of 2019 after a successful four-year playing career at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Roman-Dominguez joined the UNF staff the same season head coach Catherine Dunagan took over and since then the Ospreys have gone for three ASUN Regular Season crowns and two league championships.

Roman-Dominguez was a three-time All-American Conference selection, helping the Bulls earn a conference title and three finals appearances. During the 2016 season she was tabbed AAC Freshman of the Year, and in 2019 she picked up three player of the week honors. 

Roman-Dominguez helped the Ospreys to the 2021 ASUN Championship title as well as the program's first win in the NCAA Championships during its DI era. That same year UNF swept the ASUN superlative awards.

  • Ranked No. 36 in the nation (singles)
  • Nominated Woman Athlete of the Year by the NCAA in 2019
  • Team captain (2018, 2019)

She also brings with her youth tennis coaching experience having taught private tennis lessons in Spain and during her time at USF. 

A native of Burgos, Spain, Roman-Dominguez graduated from USF with a bachelor’s in business management and is currently pursuing a master’s degree from UNF.
