• Averaged 24 points and 6.3 assists as a junior to go along with 4.1 rebounds per game, while hitting 85 percent of his shots from the free throw line
• Scored 1,836 points n his career, the second most in Cherryville High School history
• Set a school record with 730 assists during his career
• Game highlights include a 40-point performance against Avery County High School to lead his team to the state semifinals his junior season and a performance that saw him knock down nine 3-pointers against North Lincoln High School as a senior
• Rated as the fourth best guard in the state of North Carolina by ESPN Recruiting Insiders
• Team compiled a 95-21 record while he was there, which was a record number of wins for the school over a four-year stretch
• Helped lead team to conference championships as a junior and a senior as well as a No. 3 ranking in the state 
• Also played football and baseball
