Men's Soccer Defeats Trinity College Of Jacksonville On Senior Night, 7-1

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Soccer extended its win streak with a 7-1 victory over Trinity College of Jacksonville on Senior Night at Hodges Stadium on Tuesday night

North Florida honored 11 members of its senior group prior to the match.  
 
With the win, North Florida has won five-straight matches and improves to 6-3 on the season. It is one match shy of the program's longest unbeaten streak of the Division I era.  The five-straight wins are the most in the program's Division I era. 
 
North Florida owns an 19-2 goal differential in its last five matches. 
 
Senior forward Braden Masker got the Ospreys on the board first after he played a ball off the crossbar and netted it in the 31st minute to make it 1-0. 
 
Sophomore forward Geraldo Neto netted a pair of goals in a four-minute stretch in the 35th minute and 40th minute to extend the lead to 3-0.
 
Senior defender Bryce Warhaft headed in a corner kick from Alfie Mattocks for his first goal as an Osprey to make it 4-0 in the 51st minute. 
 
Neto netted his third goal of the match to extend the margin to 5-0 in the 53rd minute. The Eagles scored in the 65th minute to make it 5-1. 
 
Redshirt sophomore midfielder Mark Romano added the final two goals of the night in the 70th minute and the 90th minute for his first collegiate brace to push the score to 7-1. 
 
Overall, 22 Ospreys logged time in the match. 
 
North Florida led its visitors in shots 38-5 and shots on goal 20-4. 
 
North Florida travels across town to face rival Jacksonville in the first of its River City Rumble series on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
