JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Redshirt junior forward
Allie Fekany notched her first-career brace to propel North Florida Women's Soccer to a 3-0 shutout win over West Georgia in its ASUN Conference opener at Hodges Stadium on Thursday night.

Eric Faulconer earned his 50th win at North Florida and surpassed Linda Hamilton for the most wins in the program's Division I era.
North Florida struck quickly in the fourth minute on a strike from redshirt junior forward/midfielder
Isabella Pontieri to make it 1-0. It marked the fourth goal of the season and the 10th career goal for Pontieri. In addition to her game winner, Pontieri also assisted on the Ospreys' final two goals to tie a single-match career-high two assists for the second time this season.
North Florida extended its margin on a pair of goals from Fekany in the 10th minute and 52nd minute. Fekany headed in a shot from Pontieri that ricocheted off the cross bar to make it 2-0 and then proceeded to collect a rebounded save off the Wolves' goalkeeper and find the back of the net to extend the count to 3-0.
Fekany registered a team-high five shots, four of which were on goal.

Chrissa Avery posted her first career clean sheet with a pair of saves in 90 minutes between the frames.
North Florida's defense stifled their visitors and held West Georgia without a shot in the first half. Overall, North Florida out shot West Georgia 25-4 and 9-0 in corner kicks.
