JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida men's basketball head coach Matthew Driscoll announced the addition of sophomore transfer Kent Jackson to the 2025-26 roster on Tuesday.
Jackson spent his debut season at Jacksonville, where he recorded the second-most minutes out of the freshman class and starred in a reserve role through 31 games played. Jackson recorded a career-high in points, field-goals made and three-point field-goals made with 14 points on 5-7 from the field and 4-6 from three at Central Arkansas in 19 minutes.Â
He logged 10 or more minutes off the bench in 19 games that included a six-game streak eclipsing the mark, in addition to a career-high 24 minutes at Stetson on Feb. 6.
"KJ Jackson possesses so many attributes that directly align with our culture that makes this transition seamless," Driscoll said. "KJ has always demonstrated a competitive edge, efficient ball skills and an elite ability to make shots from deep. He has a maturity and poise that exudes confidence in all facets of his life, spirit of servanthood and a family-oriented heart that will embrace everything that our program stands every day."
Jackson, a Jacksonville, Fla., native, played at Episcopal and helped lead the Eagles to a 24-5 record in his senior season. He averaged 19.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in his senior season and totaled over 1,800 career points.
North Florida continues to add to its 2025 class that includes Benjamin Plummer, Trey Cady, Gabriel Jacobs and Mason Watkins.
