JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 2 seed North Florida women's tennis fell to No. 3 seed North Alabama, 4-1, in the 2025 ASUN Tennis Championships Semifinals at UNF Tennis Complex on Friday night.
North Alabama claimed the doubles point with wins at the one and two lines. Freshman
Gabby Goyins and sophomore
Alisa Lyshko earned a 6-3 win at the three line to tie the doubles count. The point came down to a tiebreaker at the top court that was locked at 9-9 before North Alabama secured the win.
North Florida claimed first-set wins on four courts. North Alabama extended its lead to 2-0 with a win on court three. Junior
Jasmin Makela secured a 6-4, 6-2 win on court five to make it 2-1. North Alabama added wins on courts two and six to reach the final score.
