CONWAY, Ark. - North Florida women's tennis dominated Central Arkansas, 5-0, to maintain an undefeated 5-0 record in ASUN play on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys earned the doubles point handily before their great start to singles with four straight-set victories against UCA. Due to weather that came through the area, the final two courts had to be abandoned with UNF taking home the 5-0 team win.
Aryana Bartlett and
Gabby Goyins were hot from the field with a doubles-pair sweep plus wins on the singles courts to be responsible for three of the five points scored.
Anslee Long and
Jasmin Makela wrapped up the other two points with ease, as seven of the eight combined sets between the four Ospreys was decided by four games or more.
Both
Laurie Barendse and
Nicole Alfaro Solis were ahead in their matches before the weather started to turn. The sweep against the Bears was the fourth of the season and the third in conference play.
