CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Florida baseball picked up the second sweep of the season with an 8-6 win at Queens on Sunday afternoon at The Stick Williams Dreams Fields.
The Ospreys (15-9, 4-2 ASUN) got on the scoreboard first with a five-run second inning. With bases load, freshman
Seth Alford drew a walk to bring in the initial run. Senior
Drew Leinenbach crushed a grand slam in the next at bat to extend the lead to 5-0.
Cade Bush singles down the right field line to bring in another run to make it a six-run deficit for the Royals.
Santiago Ordonez capitalized in the sixth inning with a solo bomb to right center to make it a 7-1 game.
After giving up a few runs, Bush came through again with a sac-fly RBI shot to center to make it an 8-3 game heading into the ninth.
Kaden Humphrey came in and fended off a Queens comeback striking out back-to-back batters with a pair of runners in scoring position to shut the door on the Royals.
