JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball returned home with a 1-0 win against Mount St. Mary's on Sunday afternoon at UNF Softball Complex.
Coming off a late night in Orlando against UCF, the Ospreys came back hope for the first time in almost a month to earn its eight shutout victory of the season.
Allison Benning carried the team in the circle with a complete-game performance with five strikeouts to earn her eight victory of the season
Grace Shaw-Rockey was clutch in the bottom of the fifth inning with a go-ahead RBI single to secure a one-run margin and close out the weekend with a victory. She was one of two Ospreys to record a hit on the day, as she pinched-hit in the nine-hole to notch the hit UNF needed.
