JACKSONVILLE. Fla. - North Florida women's tennis handled another non-conference opponent in an early home match against Presbyterian, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
Gabby Goyins and
Aryana Bartlett got a quick 6-1 result out of court three in doubles play, but Presbyterian responded with a win on court two. The top-court Osprey pairing of
Laurie Barendse and
Anslee Long secured the 6-4 win, as well as the team doubles point heading into the singles round.
Barendse continued her dominance with a straight set victory (6-3, 6-3) to win four of her last six in singles matches. Goyins joined
Jasmin Makela and
Alisa Lyshko for straight set winners from courts four through six. Lyshko was the most dominant of any UNF player on Tuesday with a 6-0, 6-0 score on the sixth court.
