JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's basketball fell to Florida Gulf Coast, 84-70, inside UNF Arena on Saturday evening.

Liam Murphy finished with a team-high 20 points on 8-14 from the field, all of which came in second half, in 29 minutes. Sophomore guard
Jasai Miles added 16 points and four rebounds in 32 minutes. Miles has posted 10 or more points in 23 of 25 games.

FIRST HALF: Freshman forward
Josh Harris scored on a post up in the paint on the Ospreys' initial possession. Florida Gulf Coast opened the game with a 9-2 lead at the initial stoppage of play. The Eagles extended their lead to 19-4 at the 13:03 minute mark of the first half. Harris turned in eight of the Ospreys first eight points. Florida Gulf Coast led 44-25 at the end of the first half.
SECOND HALF: North Florida knocked down consecutive threes to cut it to 54-39 with 12:58 minutes left in the second half, but Florida Gulf Coast responded with scores on its next two possessions to put the lead back. Murphy added a pair of threes to make it 67-51. Berry found Murphy on an inbounds set to make it 71-57 with 3:01 minutes in regulation.
