JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida volleyball officially announces the hiring of Jordan Yantin to the Osprey coaching staff, as announced by head coach Kristen Wright on Tuesday afternoon. He will join Brandon Row and Morgan Wilson as assistant coaches going into the 2025 season.
"I want to welcome Jordan [Yantin] and his family into the Osprey Family. Jordan comes in with a storied career, both as a player and coach. He's been a coach at all levels and has accumulated quite the resume," said Wright. "I've known Jordan since my arrival to Jacksonville and it's exciting to link arms. Jordan will bring an upgrade to the gym as well as immediately assist in excelling in recruiting. Our staff is looking forward to working with Coach Jordan."
This is not Yantin's first stint in the city of Jacksonville, as he posted a previous stop as the head coach of Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) from 2017-18. He also served as a coach for the Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Club prior to his time with FSCJ.
"I want to start by thanking Coach Wright and UNF staff for this incredible opportunity. I am deeply honored to be joining this incredible UNF women's volleyball program," said Yantin. "My goal is to have a positive and lasting impact on these phenomenal student-athletes. I understand there is more ahead we aspire to do and I can't wait to be part of the process."
Yantin comes in from Coastal Carolina, as he was in the same role with the Chanticleers helping the team to 13 wins, including a victory in the first round of the Sun Belt Championship. He played a role in helping Jaylyn Stout to the All-Sun Belt First Team and AVCA All-Region Team.
During the 2023 season, Yantin was an assistant coach at Ramapo College, where the Roadrunners won their first-ever New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) championship at a program-best 25-2 mark. He coached four players to the NJAC All-Conference Team, as well as one honorable mention on the All-American Team.
In 2021-22, Yantin was an assistant coach for the Bloomfield College women's volleyball team, helping guide them to back-to-back North Division titles, while making the finals in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournaments in both years. He had three student-athletes named to the CACC team and the All-CACC Tournament Team.
In his first season as the leader of FSCJ, his squad posted a 16-9 overall record and finished in first place in the Panhandle Conference with a record of 7-1. Yantin's team won the 2017 Panhandle Conference Championship and made its first appearance in the FCSAA Region VIII Tournament since 2010. He was named Panhandle Conference Coach of the Year and he coached the conference Player of the Year, an All-American, an All-Region player, and seven all-conference players.

In 2018, Yantin's Florida State College at Jacksonville team enjoyed more success under his guidance, defeating two-time reigning national champion and No. 1-ranked Miami Dade College in the FCSAA Region VIII Tournament. The team also knocked off the No. 2 and No. 10-nationally ranked teams in the tournament, which had never been accomplished by the school, en route to a third-place finish, the program's first since 2003.
After no appearances in the Region Tournament since 2010, Yantin led the program into back-to-back regional appearances in his first two seasons. Yantin and his team also finished the season ranked in the top-20 nationally, another feat that had not been achieved by the team in over a decade. His 2018 squad produced the conference Player of the Year, an All-American, two all-region players, and five all-conference players.
In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, Yantin was the Junior Beach Volleyball Champion and MVP for Puerto Rico. He and his partner won the 2006 AAU Beach Volleyball Gold Championship, the first pair from Puerto Rico to ever win the tournament. In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Jordan and his partner were crowned as Beach Volleyball Champions in Puerto Rico.
