GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis (0-1) started off their 2025 season on the road against No. 19-ranked Florida (1-0) at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
Following a forfeit in the third doubles match, Florida was able to take the doubles point. The Ospreys looked to battle back in singles, but came up short in their first match of the season falling to the Gators, 5-2.
The two points on the day came from freshmen
Nicole Alfaro Solis in her singles match and
Gabby Goyins, whose opponent forfeited to result in another point for UNF. The Ospreys will be on the road against Furman for the second match of the season on Friday, Jan. 24, with a 1 p.m., start time in Greenville, S.C.
