JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis starts its 2025 spring season by traveling to Gainesville, Fla., to take on Florida on Sunday, Jan. 19. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m., at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
North Florida was tabbed to finish second in the 2025 ASUN Preseason Poll, which was released on Wednesday, with 78 points.
The 10-time ASUN Tournament and seven-time ASUN Regular Season champions look to return to form with a core of four returners from last season's spring roster in
Anslee Long,
Alisa Lyshko,
Jasmin Makela and
Isabel Oliveira. All four returners have earned an All-ASUN honor throughout the course of their career.
Another four newcomers in freshmen
Aryana Bartlett,
Gabby Goyins and
Nicole Alfaro Solis, as well as transfer
Laurie Barendse, aim to build on their impressive fall debuts. Sunday marks the Ospreys' return to the court after the program competed in four events throughout the fall.
North Florida enters its sixth season under two-time ASUN Coach of the Year
Catherine Dunagan, who boasts a 73-35 record and has guided the Ospreys to three ASUN Regular Season titles, two ASUN Tournament titles, an NCAA Tournament win and the program's NCAA Tournament Singles and Doubles appearances.
