CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Kierstyn McFall hit a sizzling .524 and
Annie Antar went for a 40-assist and 19-dig double-double in their return to their home state, but host Texas A&M Corpus Christi (1-3) held off North Florida (2-3) in five sets, Thursday, Sept. 5.
It was UNF's third-straight match into five sets and Antar's third-straight double-double. Outside hitter
Amy Burkhardt narrowly missed another double-double, going for 13 kills and nine digs.
Anna Butler paced the way with 15 kills on .300 hitting and
Jacqueline Arrington chimed in with another seven.

Inside the Sets
- Set 1: Texas A&M Corpus Christi got off to a hot start, hitting .538 without committing an error as the hosts took the first set.
- Set 2: North Florida bounced back by hitting .438 and holding the Islanders to a .105 mark … McFall went for six kills to lead the way as UNF evened it up.
- Set 3: Corpus Christi won a tight third set despite a match high seven tie scores and four lead changes between the two teams.
- Set 4: Butler and Burkhardt dominated the fourth set, hitting .500 and .538 respectively, posting seven kills each to help UNF force a fifth frame.
