JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Anton Khelil tallied a brace and
Luc Granitur dazzled with a long-range goal as North Florida men's soccer (2-4-2) took down USC Upstate (1-7-0), 3-2, Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Hodges Stadium.
Khelil needed just 13 minutes to score twice, joining
Jaxon Reinhardt as the second UNF player this season to record a brace in non-conference play.
Granitur added on the third goal in a highlight long-shot from midfield to extend UNF's lead to three in the 23rd minute. UNF held strong on the defensive end in the final moments of the game to take the win in its last match before ASUN play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In just less than five minutes into the match, Khelil benefits from a ball from Yearwood to net the first goal of the game.
- Khelil answered minutes later, weaving through the defense to punch in the second score for the Ospreys.
- After a costly mistake by the Spartans, Granitur made them pay with a goal from midfield to extend the UNF lead to three goals.
- Luciano Natoli was lockdown in the net with three saves to keep the Ospreys' margin at two goals heading into the break.
- Natoli returned with his fourth save 10 minutes into the half, followed with a shot from Granitur that narrowly missed the mark just moments later.
- Braden Masker maneuvered his way past Upstate's backline, but his shot went off the crossbar in a near response of the Spartans' score in the 73rd minute.
- USC Upstate made a final push in the last five minutes, but the Osprey defense stayed strong for the 3-2 home win at Hodges.
