ASHEVILLE, N.C. - North Florida women's tennis opened up the fall season with a head-to-head singles win against UNC Asheville on day one of the Fourth Annual Emily McNall Classic Friday, Sept. 13. The Ospreys won at slots two, four, five and seven en route to a 4-3 win against UNC Asheville.
Aryana Bartlett and
Gabby Goyins earned their first-career singles wins, while
Anslee Long and
Jasmin Makela tallied another victory after coming back from a one-set deficit.
Goyins defeated Avery Sager in straight sets, while Bartlett bounced back to win 6-4, 1-0 (10-3) in the final set.
North Florida continues with the opening weekend of the fall tomorrow in Asheville with tournament style play.
