KENNESAW, Ga. - North Florida baseball (20-24, 10-13 ASUN) couldn't produce enough runs to make up for the early output of offense from Kennesaw State (25-20, 15-8 ASUN) in a 10-2 defeat on Saturday afternoon. The second game of the doubleheader was called off during the fourth inning due to weather and was deemed a no-contest.
The Ospreys held the lead first with a sac-fly from
Cherokee Nichols, but KSU responded quickly with six runs in the first two innings. UNF added a run in the sixth, along with
Brandon Adams going on a tear striking out five straight batters, but the Owls ultimately prevailed to even the weekend series.
