OXFORD, Ala. - No. 2 North Florida softball (34-17, 17-7 ASUN) surrendered seven runs in the third inning in what would turn out to be detrimental in its ASUN semifinals matchup against Florida Gulf Coast (36-19, 16-8 ASUN), 11-5, on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys had a quality start from
Kylah Berry, who struck out four of the first six outs of the game through two frames. UNF was unable to avoid trouble and limit damage in the third inning after allowing seven runs. They were able to tack on five runs through the final five innings, including a two-run homer from
Allison Benning, but it wasn't enough in the end against the Eagles.
