NASHVILLE, Tenn. - North Florida softball (21-8, 4-0) flexed its muscles once again in conference play with a doubleheader sweep against Lipscomb (11-19, 1-4) on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys put up 17 combined runs in the pair of games, including 11 total scored in the first game that led to a five-inning run-rule victory. They also continued to stay sound on the defensive side of the ball with a shutout performance in the second game and only one run allowed combined.
UNF has now extended its winning streak to 11 straight games, while keeping teams to two runs or less in every game of the current streak. With five wins already in ASUN play, they remain one of two teams with a 5-0 record and one of three teams that are undefeated in conference.
