JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (18-8, 2-0) showed off its stellar pitching to start its first conference series of the season, as
Allison Benning and
Halle Arends both recorded complete-game wins against Austin Peay (14-12, 0-2) on Saturday afternoon at UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys scored early in the first during the opening game and shut down the Governors for seven innings to secure the first win.
Shannon Glover caught fire for the second game to spark the offense with three hits and two RBIs, including the game-winning RBI single in the seventh to take the series.

Logan Jackson drove in a run for the Ospreys in the first inning and that's all they needed, as Benning threw seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in the 1-0 ASUN-opening victory.
