GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball (4-9) showed life with scoring runs, but fell on the road in its non-conference finale against Florida (8-5), 75-47, to wrap up play in the 2024 calendar year on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys kept the margin close throughout the first half, as they closed in to as little as six points with two minutes before the break.
Jazmine Spencer and
Jamisyn Stinson both hit the double-digit scoring mark, but it wasn't enough to pull off a road upset against the Gators.

Selma Eklund laying up the first field goal for the Ospreys...
Jamisyn Stinson banged a pair of three-pointers in the final five minutes of the first period to pull within nine...Stinson returned with another trey to start the second...Rougier beat the shot clock at the FT line nab her first points of the game...
Jasmynne Gibson sprayed a three plus a one-one-one bucket to cut the Gator lead to six...Stinson made her fourth trey of the half to end the half down 11 points.
Second Half: Spencer was the first to strike once again out of the break with a three...she also added a layup later on in the quarter, along with Eklund adding another score as well...Gibson sinks one from deep to cut the margin to 13 points...Taub found the back-door cut and laid it up to go into the fourth period with momentum...
Helena Rafnsdottir did the same to start the final period with a hard finish at the bucket...trey balls made by
Grace Hunter and Spencer were made in response to Gator scores...Rougier added a jumper in the final minutes, but the Ospreys finished non-conference with a gritty road defeat.
