JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Nate Lliteras scored 19 points with the help of 5-for-8 shooting from deep, but a resilient UNC Asheville (1-2) team had the upper hand down the stretch as North Florida (3-2) dropped a Monday night matchup with the Bulldogs, 89-75, November 18.

UNF turned on an 11-2 run in a helter-skelter first seven minutes, taking a 13-12 lead as the game hit the first intermission … midway through the first half,
Kamrin Oriol and Lliteras provided a spark for the Ospreys, keeping UNF in front by two after the second media timeout … UNC Asheville would close out the half with 45 percent shooting from the floor, taking a two-point advantage into the break … Literas and Oriol paced North Florida with eight points apiece after 20 minutes.
2nd Half
The back-and-forth play continued out of the lockers, with UNC Asheville clinging to a 48-47 lead after the under-16 timeout … from there the Bulldogs didn't relinquish their lead, going on an 8-0 run to force UNF into a timeout …
Ametri Moss got to the glass to break the Bulldogs' run, starting a 7-0 spurt that was capped by a
Jasai Miles three-pointer … the trey got UNF within six after trailing by 13, causing UNC Asheville to take a timeout … the Bulldogs would answer with each North Florida three-pointer, keeping their distance down the stretch.
