JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF volleyball (9-17, 5-6 ASUN) continued its road stretch across town at Swisher Gymnasium Thursday night, taking the first set before the hosts came back to win it in four frames.
UNF 1, JU 3 (25-20, 17-25, 10-25, 23-25)
- Set 1: UNF started off hot, taking a 6-1 lead … the Ospreys held that lead to the media timeout, taking a 15-8 lead at the intermission … UNF never trailed and JU's seven attack errors hampered the hosts as UNF took the first frame, 25-20.
- Set 2: The Dolphins bounced back to take the second set behind a better offensive output in the second frame.
- Set 3: JU took an 11-3 lead, forcing North Florida into a timeout … the Dolphins stayed in front to take a 2-1 lead.
- Set 4: The teams traded blows, with JU squeaking ahead to a 15-12 lead … JU won three of the next four points, but UNF bounced back with a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to one at 19-18 … down 24-20, UNF ran off a 3-0 run to force JU into a timeout … JU would close it out a point after the timeout.
