JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's soccer (2-3-4) played an eventful River City Rumble match on the road with a 1-1 draw against Jacksonville (2-5-2) on Saturday evening.
After 72 minutes of play, the Ospreys were the ones to break the scoreless tie with
Joaquin Acuna dishing a perfect pass to
Luc Granitur for the score on the run. Just 10 minutes afterwards, JU responded with a goal of their own with a header on a free kick placed in the top right corner of the frame to force a draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNF had a couple early chances at goal, but was just late to the touch on their attacks to start off the match.
- Felix Frenx got a head on a corner in the 11th minute, but it went straight to the keeper to keep it tied.
- JU put together multiple attacks with four shots in five minutes, but Micah Gun made two miraculous saves to prevent a Dolphins' score.
- Both teams had shots go well over the crossbar during the dwindling minutes of half to go into the locker room scoreless.
- Ospreys opened the second half with a chance at goal, but a misread made the shot go left of the post.
- Another response was made by the Dolphins with a shot in the box, but Gun reached out to make his third save of the game.
- In the 72nd minute, UNF broke through with Braden Masker passing it to Joaquin Acuna, who dished it to Luc Granitur for the first goal of the game.
- The Dolphins had a chance quickly after the score, but Gun was able to get on top of it just before it crossed the line.
- A late equalizer was scored in the 82nd minute off a free kick just outside the box with a header that went beyond the reach of the keeper.
- UNF had what would've been the game-winning goal with six minutes left in the match, but a foul was called on the Ospreys with the offense in the box.
- Tensions rose during the final minutes of the rivalry match, but the Ospreys played JU through with a 1-1 result on the road.

- Granitur scored his fourth goal of the year, while Acuna picked up his third assist and Masker earned his first of the season.
- UNF stopped their scoreless skid with its first goal since playing FAU on Sept. 12.
- It is only the second draw recorded in the River City Rumble with the last being a 1-1 draw in 2013.
- Another double-digit total in shots were put up by the Ospreys, as well as six shots one goal for their most since playing Winthrop.
- The Ospreys fended off 10 shots in the first half without allowing a goal to JU.
- For the first time this season, UNF used the same starting lineup in back-to-back matches.
