Baseball Drops Rubber Game With Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida baseball had a chance at winning its sixth-straight home weekend series of the year, but the Jacksonville State bats got in the way as UNF (17-15, 5-7 ASUN) dropped the rubber game with the Gamecocks (16-15, 9-3 ASUN) Saturday, April 8.

Behind the Line Score
  • JSU got a runner to third in the first, but Alex Lodise made a lunging snag on a liner to end the inning.
  • The Gamecocks plated one in the second after a single was followed by a double to right right center from Derrick Jackson.
  • Matthew Clements nearly evened it up in the bottom of the second, but Cherokee Nichols was thrown out at the plate trying to score from second.
