FORT MYERS, Fla. - North Florida softball (28-21-1, 9-11-1 ASUN) found the runs needed early and had dominant pitching late to pull off its third-consecutive series win on the road against Florida Gulf Coast (29-23, 11-10 ASUN), 5-2, on Sunday afternoon.
The Ospreys came up with big hits in the first two innings with five runs scored, followed by
Ashley Connor coming into relief in the circle and only allowing two hits through six innings. UNF has now won three-straight ASUN series, doing so against North Alabama, Bellarmine and FGCU, while going a combined 7-1-1 in that span in conference play.

Shannon Glover and
Chloe Culp all came up with big time RBI in the rubber match victory on the road. Glover dominated this series with six hits combined on the weekend, including a two-hit, two-RBI performance to close out on the Eagles.

- Ospreys drew first blood in the top of the first with Jackson hitting a two-run RBI single with the bases loaded.
- FGCU came back with two runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning to tie it up at 2-2.
- Glover turned in a clutch hit with an RBI double that scored another pair of runs for the Ospreys.
- The damage continued in the second with Culp hitting a blooper on the left field line to add on a run.
- Connor entered the game to start the second and worked through the next three innings scoreless.
- She continued her dominance with back-to-back innings retiring the side in order against the Eagles.
