JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF baseball (19-16, 7-8 ASUN) got career-long outings from both
Dominick Madonna and
Clayton Boroski en route to a doubleheader sweep of Central Arkansas (16-19, 7-8 ASUN) Saturday, April 15.
Madonna twirled 7.1 innings and UNF erupted for an eight-run third inning in a 9-5 game one win, while Boroski followed that up with 6.2 scoreless in a 5-0 shutout victory.
The Ospreys have won six weekend series and all but one home series on the season. Game two of the twin bill saw UNF's first shutout win of the year since blanking Kennesaw State April 29 of last season

Behind the Line Score
- Madonna settled in early, fanning the side in the second.
- The Bears used small ball in the third. UCA doubled on a flare down the left field line to start the inning and scored after a sac bunt and sac fly plated Reid Bowman.
- North Florida scored its first run of the series when Drew Leinenbach homered off the video board in left. After a single, fielder's choice and a walk, Alex Lodise ripped an inside pitch into left for a 3-1 lead.
- UNF batted around and kept the inning going. After another error, Cherokee Nichols scored Jakob Runnels on a sac fly. Gabriel Esquivel followed with a three-run homer off the scoreboard and Leinenbach walked. After his steal, Matthew Clements slashed an RBI single inside the first base bag.
- The first runs of the game since the third inning came in the eighth when a double, RBI single and two-run home run to left center from Kolby Johnson made it 8-4. Pinch hitter Dylan Cyr homered to left center, cutting the UNF lead to three.
- UNF added insurance in the eighth. Austin Brinling singled, Jakob Runnels walked and a wild pitch plated Brinling after a productive out from Lodise preceded the run.

Behind the Line Score
- UNF jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first. Aidan Sweatt singled inside the third base bag and Austin Brinling laced a double in the same area, scoring Sweatt. Lodise kept the line moving two batters later, scoring Brinling on a single to right.
- Boroski cruised through four, fanning three to maintain the 2-0 lead. The righty worked around a leadoff double in the fourth and Reich made a diving play on a soft liner to keep it 2-0.
- UNF put up another two-run frame, this time in the fifth. Consecutive walks to Sweatt and Brinling were followed by a double steal and another walk. Lodise laced a sac fly to left and Reich made it 4-0 with a two-out single to right.
- A leadoff single from Reich eventually turned into a sac fly from Clements to put UNF up 5-0.
