Behind the Line Score
- Three walks and two singles, including a two-out two-RBI single, allowed Stetson to take a 3-0 lead after the first half inning.
- UNF got one back in the second. Aidan Sweatt walked, avoided a double play by going on the pitch prior to a groundout and scored on a single up the middle from Jakob Runnels.
- Both pitchers settled in to turn in scoreless sessions over the next two frames.
- UNF got one back in the fifth. After walks to Alex Lodise and Matthew Clements, a chopper off Sweatt's bat went to shortstop before being thrown low to first. A bobble on the low throw allowed Lodise to score.
- Stetson's David Bermudez hit a two-run home run to left center and Stetson added another on a walk, steal, passed ball and an error after a dropped third strike.
- Stetson added an insurance run thanks to a walk, wild pitch and Andrew Estrella RBI single down the right field line. Cade Reich made a nice throw to get Estrella trying to stretch it to a double.
- UNF put up crooked numbers in the seventh, taking advantage of Stetson reliever Nick Durgin after Austin Amaral departed. Lodise flared a single to right center and Matthew Clements doubled him home with a chopper down the line. Sweatt reached on an infield single and a successful double steal saw Clements score. Runnels ripped an RBI single up the middle, scoring another to make it 7-5. Reich ripped a liner to center, but Cameron Hill made a diving play to end the frame.
- Lance Bolton did a great job working around a leadoff double in the eighth, stranding two.
- Stetson's Anthony DeFabbia allowed a leadoff single but got the next three batters to close out the game.
