Softball Bested By Troy to Close Out UNF Invitational

Snaps Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (15-7) came up short against Troy (19-7), 5-0, to close out the UNF Invitational on Sunday afternoon at the UNF Softball Complex.

After scoring a combined 27 runs over the past four games, the Ospreys were not able to get runners on base after being held to only two hits against the Trojans. Defensive mishaps were also a factor with UNF totaling three errors, which turned into all five unearned runs.

Ashley Connor pitched in her fifth consecutive game of the weekend with four innings in the circle. Skyler Stockie came in relief for the last three innings with only two hits allowed, but the offense remained stagnant for the remainder of the game.
