JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After finding themselves down 11 points to start the second half, North Florida men's basketball (6-5) fought back and finished the game outscoring Georgia Southern (0-9), 37-18, to secure the 64-56 comeback victory on Saturday afternoon at UNF Arena.
The Ospreys had the lead for most of the first half until a late run from the Eagles gave them a seven-point lead at the break. After a couple scores from Georgia Southern,
Ametri Moss and
Chaz Lanier led the charge combining for 32 total points to win back-to-back games in front of the home crowd.

First Half
After a quick three from Georgia Southern to start, Lanier responded immediately with a jumper to score the first points of the game for UNF...the Ospreys broke out a 10-0 run shortly after with threes from Moss and Lanier, capped off by a dunk from Lanier...both
Nate Lliteras and
Jake van der Heijden nailed a pair of treys just before the 12-minute media to go up by five...Lliteras made another from downtown to break a scoring drought and retake the lead...Moss and
Dorian James finished with contested layups to close out the first half down by a couple scores.
Second Half
UNF started out cold from the break, as they found themselves down 11 points after a pair of Eagles' scores, but Moss scored the next seven Osprey points to bring the team back within six...UNF continued its run in the early second half finishing out an 11-point run with a three from Lanier to take the lead once again...Lanier continued to score at a high volume with a layup and three to extend the lead to five...Ospreys continued to control the pace for the remainder of the game with lack of turnovers and made free throws to turn in an eight-point home victory.

- Lanier extends his double-digit scoring mark to all but one game this season, while Moss trails closely behind with eight.
- The junior also surpassed his career-best mark in steals with five and combined for 36 points in his past two games.
- James was two boards away from his second double-double of the year with 11 points and eight rebounds against the Eagles.
- Ospreys held the strong advantage for points off turnovers, 17-6, in the Saturday matinee.
