FROM THE JUMP - Set to Make Home Debut Against Trinity Baptist

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball will host its first home game of the season against Trinity Baptist on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m., in UNF Arena.

Thursday's home-opening matchup will be broadcasted on ESPN+. Updates for the game will be made through live stats, as well as on Twitter at OspreyWBB and on Instagram at OspreysWBB.


FROM THE JUMP

  • The Ospreys are coming off scoring the most points against a Power Five opponent since playing Auburn early in the 2021 season.
  • Jayla Adams was the Ospreys' top scorer in the season opener against Florida, as she matched her career high of 14 points.
  • She also put up five assists, which led the team, along with four rebounds in the road game.
  • Alexa Washington had one of the best UNF freshman debuts in recent history with an efficient 13 points in 24 minutes played.
  • She also shot .625 (5-for-8) from the field and .500 (3-for-6) from the three-point line against the Gators.
  • Sarah Taub was the second UNF player with over 30 minutes played making an impact on the court earlier this week with 10 points at UF.
  • Selma Eklund looks to make more of an impact this season after gaining the first start of her career with four points and four boards on Monday.


SCOUTING REPORT

  • Trinity Baptist enters the matchup with a 2-2 record with a 0-1 record on the road.
  • They defeated Beacon and Eccclesia, but were defeated by Warner and Crowley's Ridge.
  • The Eagles are also under a first-year head coach in Alishia Lewis.
  • TBC was 9-16 last season with a 5-7 record in conference play, including a 112-38 loss to UNF.
  • Three players are averaging double-digits for the Eagles, including Madlyn Touze at 19.3 PPG.
  • She also leads the team in rebounds (14.3) and blocks (1.8) per game through four games.
  • Emma Parrish is another key player averaging 11.5 PPG and 6.0 APG.
