TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - UNF volleyball put a one-set deficit in the rear view and followed up with four Ospreys touting double-digit kill nights as UNF (8-10) knocked off Florida A&M (7-10), 3-1, in the regular season non-conference finale Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Four Ospreys posted double-digit kill evenings, North Florida served up 12 aces and
Kierstyn McFall had a ridiculous night, hitting .652 en route to 15 kills.
Rocio Moro stymied FAMU's attack, going for 27 digs as she inched to just four digs away from the league all-time digs record.
With non-conference play wrapped up, UNF looks at 12 more league matches, seven of which are at home.

Inside the Sets
- Set 1: After being down 11-5, UNF went on a 5-0 run to get back into the set … McFall showed what type of night she'd have early on, posting six kills in the first frame … Mahalia White and McFall teamed up for a block to get within two, fueling a 4-0 run to tie things up, 22-22 … UNF evaded one set point, but two attack errors cost the Ospreys the set.
- Set 2: FAMU carried its first set momentum into the second frame, but UNF won a challenge to change what would have been a 6-2 deficit to just, 5-3 … afterwards, UNF went on a 3-0 run and eventually tied things up and took a lead during Kelly Negron's serving run … Emma Pohlmann turned in her own run and Annie Antar eventually dropped in two aces at the line as UNF took a 16-12 lead … Kailey McKnight had some big swings in the back row as UNF hit above .400 and evened things up.
- Set 3: Serving was on point again to start the third frame … McKnight put UNF up, 3-0, early, giving UNF a huge lift of momentum at an important juncture in the match … some good serving and aggressive offense setup a number of overpass kills as North Florida won by 11 points to take a 2-1 lead.
- Set 4: Nine of UNF's first 15 points in the fourth set came via a kill, giving UNF a 15-9 lead … FAMU went on a 5-0 run to get within one at 15-14, but McKnight came through with a kill … FAMU was able to tie it up 18-18, but a service error from FAMU gave UNF a one-point lead after a successful UNF challenge … Moro replied with a timely ace to give UNF a 2-0 lead … UNF went up 23-18, but FAMU came through with a 4-0 run to force UNF into a timeout … North Florida closed it out with a Mahalia White kill.
