
Beau Beech Joins FMP Meridian of Serbia

BELGRADE, Serbia - Former UNF men's basketball standout Beau Beech has signed his next professional contract, joining FMP Meridian of Belgrade, Serbia.
The Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., native was a two-time First Team All-ASUN honoree, all-freshman pick, ASUN All-Decade selection and ASUN champion during his time in Jacksonville.
A 6-7 versatile forward, Beech finished his UNF career with 1,557 points, 672 rebounds, 184 assists, 147 steals, 53 blocks and 133 games played. Beech ranks second in UNF history for points, tied for first in three-pointers made, fourth in rebounds, first in steals, second in games played and second in games started.
After finishing up his UNF career in 2016, Beech joined the Brooklyn Nets in the 2016 NBA Summer League before being acquired by the Long Island Nets of the NBA Development League as it was named at the time.Â
Since then he made another stop within the D-League, playing for the Erie Bayhawks, leading him into four different opportunities in Europe.Â
Beech is coming off a stellar season with Czarni Slupsk in Poland as he scored 13.2 points per game in 40 contests.Â
