JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball used a three-run fifth inning to break a 1-1 tie and
Morgan Clausen cleaned up with a complete game effort in the circle as the Ospreys advanced in the winners bracket with a 4-1 win against the Owls (22-27) Wednesday, May 11.
The Ospreys (40-15) reached 40 wins on the year with the victory, earning the right to face No. 2 Central Arkansas tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Behind the Line Score
- UNF tallied the game's first run. Savannah Channell laced a 2-2 pitch into center for a single, took second on a wild pitch and scored on Logan Jackson's RBI single through the right side.
- KSU nearly tied the game 1-1 in the fourth. With a runner at second, a liner up the middle was deflected by Clausen as it was redirected to Kayla McGory at second base. McGory fielded it cleanly and retired the runner at first.
- The Owls didn't hit the ball hard but managed to put up three singles, two of which were infield hits, tying the game 1-1.
- UNF replied to retake the lead in the fifth, going up 4-1. Jackson opened the frame with a walk before Takiya London pinch ran and stole second. Hayley Bejarano pushed her to third with a groundout and Bailee Aguigui hooked a soft RBI single through the right side.
- Consecutive singles from Kayla McGory and Shannon Glover pushed the lead to three for UNF.
- KSU got one on in the sixth and looked to get a second, but McGory started a 4-6-3 double play with a glove flip up the middle to end the frame.
- The Owls got runners to second and third in the ninth before Clausen coaxed a lineout.
