JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida baseball put up the game's first run in the second inning, but JU replied with three in the third while tallying two more innings with crooked numbers as the Ospreys came up a game short of the sweep in a 12-4 loss to Jacksonville Sunday, April 10 at Harmon Stadium.
UNF (13-20, 4-8 ASUN) worked seven walks, but JU pitchers, namely starter Christian Graham, scattered the free passes while keeping UNF hitless from the second to the seventh inning.
Cade Westbrook kept his on-base streak going, reaching base in 20 consecutive games thanks to a walk, while
Aidan Sweatt posted his 11th multi-hit game of 2022.
Despite the loss, UNF is 8-3 over its last 11 games against JU dating back to the games from last year.
Slots eight and nine in the JU (16-13, 4-8 ASUN) batting order did the damage as eight-hole hitter Tommy Joseph and nine-slot batter Cam Ridley combined to go 4-for-7 with three runs and six RBI.
